In early 2007, Ontash formed a subsidiary company called Ontash India in Kozhikode, India. Ontash India is a software development center and allows Ontash to leverage the relatively abundant and lower cost engineering talent available in India. The company is formally known as Ontash India Technologies Private Limited and began operations in March of 2007.
Kozhikode (also known as Calicut) is in the Southern Indian state of Kerala on the West Coast of India. The city is serviced by an International Airport and is the home of several major Universities.
Ontash and Ontash India are tied together by a shared software project managment and collaboration tool which allows both companies to work together efficiently. In 2011 Ontash India, achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification by implementing a quality management system. This was one of the many steps being taken by the company to refine a process to deliver high quality software in an efficient manner.
Ontash India is a member of the National Association of Software Companies (NASSCOM), Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC) and the Calicut Forum for IT (CAFIT)
